As a Flooring Installer at Moore Flooring + Design you will work along side our team of awesome installers.
The role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, to ensure that flooring installations are completed accurately and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform proper techniques of floor care and preparation of areas to be serviced.
- Maintain and operate various hand and power tools, saws, drills, nail guns, and sanders.
- Measure and cut flooring materials according to precise specifications, taking into account room dimensions and layout.
- Employ appropriate installation techniques for different types of flooring, such as gluing, mortar/grouting, nailing, stapling, or floating installations.
- Ensure proper alignment, pattern matching, and spacing during installation to create an aesthetically pleasing finish.
- Seam and join flooring materials seamlessly, particularly for carpets and vinyl.
- Inspect the installed floor for any defects, ensuring it meets quality standards.
- Communicate with clients to understand their preferences and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year previous experience in Flooring or Carpentry is preferred.
- Knowledge of different flooring materials, installation methods, and associated tools.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license required for transportation to job sites.
Experience:
- Flooring Installation: 1 year experience in Flooring or Carpentry (preferred)
